Western Mass ATV Association consists of responsible ATV and Dirt Bike riders who can appreciate the benefits of an organized group of off road enthusiasts.  As members of Berkshire Trails Council, we maintain and ride State trails in Western Massachusetts and provide many riding/social activities throughout the year.

Western Mass ATV Mission:

We are a non-profit club run by members, for members. We were started to bring like-minded riders together for organized rides, educational events and trail maintenance and sometimes just to socialize like our Holiday Party.

We are charter members of the Berkshire Trails Council and the Mass Trails Assoc. As a club we are responsible for maintaining all of the O.R.V trails in Pittsfield State Forest. We are required by the state to complete at least 400 hours of trail maintenance each year, just to keep the forest open to the public. As a member of Western Mass ATV, you can be proud of the fact that you belong to the most proactive club in Massachusetts.

ATTENTION: W.M.A.T.V. MEMBERS

The D.C.R. has announced that there will be changes in Pittsfield State Forest regarding trails that will or will not be open, amount of riders in the forest on any given day and how this new permitting system will work. How this will effect our members is not directly known yet, but we have been invited to a D.C.R. meeting on May 5th. During that meeting hopefully we can address all the questions and issues that will arise in the coming weeks, and how W.M.A.T.V. and the D.C.R. are going to go forward for the riding season. We have held off on addressing these issues with our members so as not to create more confusion or make incorrect statements regarding there new policies in P.S.F. All members are encouraged to visit the DCR's website to get additional info.
